Northern Cyprus is known for its exquisite Mediterranean weather and gorgeous scenery. Silver

Silver Beach is a great place to spend the afternoon with family. It’s clear white sand and deep blue waters offers a great seaside escape. It has plenty of space for families to spread out and enjoy the water in a safe and secure environment. The water is only thigh-high for an adult, meaning the little ones are completely safe to explore the cool waters. The access to the beach is free. 

You are free to explore marine life, the greenery as well as the scenery with little to no interruptions. Why not allow yourself an afternoon of luxury and take in all the sea has to offer!

Known by some as ‘Heaven on Earth”, Palm Beach in Gazimağusa Bay is one of the finest stretches of sand in the Mediterranean. This golden sand beach is home to the 5 Star Acapulco Beach Club just 10 km east of Girne. It ranks as one of the best beaches on the island with its gentle shallow waters, safe for children. The beautiful beach isn’t all the resort has to offer. Guests can take advantage of the great water sports, the water park, luxurious pool as well as the numerous restaurants on site. The beach fee is around 150 to 200 Turkish Lira.

The Society of the Protection of Turtles has a very interesting sea-turtle conservation area located 18km from Girne, this is one of the longest stretches of sand on the north coast and definitely one of the most beautiful on the island. The beach is home to 300+ loggerhead turtles. The laying of the eggs, cooling, and hatching of the turtle often happens between May and July. Following the moon’s reflection on the water’s surface, the little turtles have minutes to reach the sea. Unfortunately, this beach does not offer a lot of opportunities for swimming, but the turtles as well as the scenery is definitely worth visiting. 

 

Dipkarpaz

 The Karpass Peninsula is home to the  beautiful Golden Beach, The beach is the most eastern beach in Cyprus and is 80 miles from Syria. Its remote setting, and unspoiled shores are great for an evening sunset. The beach is located in a nearby village called Dipkarpaz

Golden Beach has great opportunities to sunbathe and rejuvenate. The beach has free access to everyone interested.

 

Famagusta

Close to the historic marine city of Famagusta is Glapsides Beach. The clear shallow waters are great for children to explore their playful side in the cool waters. Parents can relax and enjoy the warm sun with out fear for the little ones. If you’re looking for shallow water for the kids to play in, this is the beach for you. The beach comes with a great selection of cafes, restaurants, bars, affordable parasols and sunbeds for rent. Glapsides Beach offers perfect comfort and safety, and the gorgeous views complete the experience. The beach is free for all people.

Escape Beach is located in an urban area, among the mountains. Giving you both the mountain view as well as the sea view. If you are looking for a bit of both this is the perfect beach for you. The clear waters are shallow enough  for children and great fun for the whole family. The beach facilities includes, loungers and umbrellas, beach restaurant, changing rooms, showers, toilets. The beach also provides facilities to explore your more adventurous side, with professional deep sea divers to help you get started.To access the beach  you will pay a fee around 100 to 150. Escape beach is definitely a must visit on your next trip.

Temperatures can reach upwards of 30 Degrees Celcius ( 86 Fahrenheit). With high risks of UV light exposure. Be sure to make sure you are protected as well as the little ones. For safe, healthy fun in the sun!

Snacks!

Beaches located around a resort will over food and beverages, but public beaches may not offer the same fascilities. Be sure to bring a small bite to eat.

Reusable Water Bottle!

A lot of the beaches in North Cyprus offer restaurants and cafe for you to purchase beverages and refreshments. However, you can never have anough. Be sure to carry an extra bottle with you!
